Christmas will be here before we know it! I imagine you've been busy trying to find time to do your Christmas shopping, plan your traveling, and figure out who's house you'll be visiting and in what order, all while working at the same time! Well, I am in no way different. In all the busyness of this time of year it's really easy to get distracted from what it's all about.
I've been seeing advertisements on television, in magazines, and in the stores since October for Christmas sales. The day after Thanksgiving, many radio stations start playing Christmas music. And in it all, year after year, I hear more and more people saying things like..."I'm sick and tired of Christmas already. I wish it would just be over with!" Maybe you've heard things like this too. I fully believe that the devil is behind those attitudes. He hates the Christmas holiday and it's true meaning for celebrating it. He wants you and I to hate it as well. So as the father of lies, he tempts business owners to Rev up Christmas earlier and earlier each year only to have folks wanting it over before December 25th even arrives.
Matthew 1:18-25
Matthew 2:1-12
Luke 1:26-38
Luke 2:1-20
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
-Colossians 1:15-17
Please be safe in your travels this year. As you can, stop and enjoy the things in nature that our Creator has made!
Merry Christmas to you all!
In Christ,
Kevin-
