Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him. -Psalm 103:13 (NASB)
Today I just wanted to acknowledge all the Dads out there!
Here's to the Dad's that have the pleasure of raising their own children!
Here's to the Dad's that have the pleasure of raising children that may not be their own, but have had the courage to love them as if they are their own!
(Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of ones youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.) -Psalm 127:4-5 (NKJV)
Here's to my own Dad who always had time for me, who raised me in a good home, who was a Godly example to me, who taught me how to fish and to be a good mariner, who taught me to stand strong in life, who taught me to treat a woman in the way God says that she deserves to be treated, and who taught me to stand on the side of the Lord and to tell people about God's goodness.
You may have lost your child here on the earth, but your child experienced instant Heaven and is alive and praising Jesus Christ at this very moment while waiting eagerly to meet you when God calls you home. I had a good talk with my Dad this morning before Church, and he wished me a happy fathers day as he does every year. He explained this very topic to me saying that since my unborn child was indeed a life at conception, though he or she died in the womb, he or she never died spiritually, and thus I am still a father because my child never truly died, but lives in the arms of the One who Himself DEFEATED death.
I fully believe this, and I say the same to you in the hope that it gives you comfort!
In Christ,
Kevin-
