For this is God, Our God forever and ever; He will be our guide Even to death. -Psalm 48:14
Where am I going with this you may ask?
Well, lately I have had a lot on my mind, and this entry may be a little different from one's I've written in the past depending on your point of view. I didn't write an entry last month because the Lord is showing me so much, that I didn't know what really to write about. The Lord is doing things in my life, and I believe it's the result of answered prayer. But then again, it could just be what He's planned from eternity past. The latter is what I tend to lean more towards, but I also believe it could be a combination of both.
Going back for a second to the beginning of this entry, I believe that God directs and upholds nature (all of His creation) in a way that sustains it, and gives Him Glory. In the same way, I believe that He directs our lives. But I think it goes deeper than that. I believe that he puts it on our hearts to call out and ask Him for direction. Some of us will call on Him because we want Him to lead (Psalm 37:4), and some of us won't because we reject Him through pride and selfishness (Romans 1:18-19).
God will direct and bless our lives as long as we ask Him for His direction according to His will.
But also, the more I pray, the more the Devil attacks me, and tries to warp my thought process, trying to encourage me to desire worldly things. Many times I fall short and slip, and I can absolutely see where the Lord doesn't bless some of my decisions. And when I can't see His blessings, I CAN see where He's showing me that I need to get back on board with Him. My desire is to lean on Jesus Christ. When life is good, I will praise Him. When life is rough, I will praise Him.
Either way, I want His direction over all things.
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. -1 John 5:14
Thank you as always for stopping by. Get outside when you can and enjoy all that God shows you through His creations.
In Christ,
Kevin-
