I'm looking out my kitchen window, and the Azalea blooms are almost all gone. But soon with the blooms falling off, the plants will start putting out new buds for next year. With that in mind, it got me to thinking about this new blog I'm starting. Actually, I'm trying a lot of new things at this point in my life, and this is just one of them. I've been trying to think of what I could write for my first post, and looking out at the Azaleas in the back yard just got the screws turning. I figure since it's a new project I'm trying, I might as well share and write about what I am hoping it will be.
This is a project that is meant to be really different. I want this blog, and the entries in it first and foremost to give glory to our Creator Jesus Christ. I am hoping that by incorporating my wildlife photographs, that it will encourage people to get outdoors and explore the things God has made and given us. Even if it means just going out to the back yard and seeing what's in the flowerbed or the garden, or going to the beach and picking up shells. The more we explore what's around us, the more I believe that we will see His hands in everything, and not random chance accidents.
I will also occasionally post entries with pictures of my artwork with the hope that folks will look inside themselves for the creative gifts that God has given us all. And I'm sure that I will occasionally post thoughts about things that I am thankful for that He is doing in my life. But all in all, I want this endeavor to focus on the things that God has given us. Things that He intends for us to enjoy and bring Him glory. Because without Him, nothing would exist.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. -John 1:1-3
Thank you for joining me and reading my first post. I hope you will follow and enjoy this blog!
In Christ,
