Now...
What would people think if someone were saying negative things about you? It could be someone in a circle of friends. It could be someone where you work (Proverbs 16:28). We've all seen it right? We all know it goes on. We've all been around the gossips and the slanderers in the halls and heard what they had to say about folks. But what did you think about the person or people that were the topic of conversation? Were the gossips right...or were they wrong?
Here's my point...Live in such a way that if gossips speak negatively about you, people listening won't believe it (Ephesians 5:1-2). The slanderers will continue to talk ugly and tell false tales, simply because that's what they do. But they will be discredited if we live our everyday lives opposite of the words that are spoken of us by them. Jesus said this in Matthew 12:36-37, "But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give an account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned."
Beyond that, don't fret over what folks say about you. You are a creation of the Living God, and He is on your side (Romans 8:31).
There are so many things to be learned about life when we study God's creation. All I can do is marvel at what He has done, and is doing in it all. Get outside and explore the things He has made. Even if it's no further than your own back yard.
It's so exciting being a Christian!
Thanks for stopping by!
God Bless,
