As some of you know, I do not believe in man's theories of evolution. And I don't believe what to me is man's highly exaggerated opinions of the age of the earth (or even the universe itself for that matter). I believe what the Creation account in Genesis says because it is given to us by the One that was there when it all took place. A day was a day. Not a thousand years, or even a million. It's just interesting to me to think about. I am actually in awe whenever I consider it.
The earth was without form and void. How could that be, I sometimes ask myself. And then I think...it's really not that hard to comprehend. Think about clay before it goes onto a potters wheel (Many of you have heard this, but I still think it's a great analogy). It has no form to it until it is shaped and fired, and is pleasing to the eye of it's creator. God Miraculously spoke the elements and energy into existence to begin shaping His creation. I have no problem at all with the thought of miracles, or God's supernatural power.
I mean come on, you can't pour iced tea out of a pitcher if you haven't first made the tea!
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. -John 1:1-3
I love the topic of Creation, and pondering the awesomeness of God's power. A power that my tiny little brain will never fully grasp.
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? -Psalm 8:3-4
Thank you as always for stopping by and staying a while! I am excited about this year and what it will bring for outdoor activities, photo opportunities, and chances to share and discuss what Christ is doing in my life. I hope you are all having a great new year, and will continue to visit and read my entries down the road!
Stay safe, Keep warm, and God Bless,
Kevin-
