I am a little late with this entry, as I have been very busy with work, and traveling. I've gotten a bit of spare time, so I thought I would get caught up with my thoughts here.
Not long ago I was able to fulfill a life long dream of seeing the Last Frontier. Yes, I was able to go to Alaska. My fiancé was working at a mission clinic there and I went to visit her on her final week before coming back to the lower 48. During my visit, I encountered some of the nicest people I've ever met, and made some new friends.
Most everyone I came into contact with had personal relationships with Jesus Christ. The people were eager to laugh and cut up (joking and carrying on), and loved taking time to talk, and explain their way of life! One married couple even opened up their home to me so that I wouldn't have to pay for a hotel. I am forever grateful to them!
What I experienced there in God's artistic handiwork nearly caused me to be in utter silence at times. The peace that I felt there was intoxicating.
The wonders I saw in these places are incredibly hard to describe. My camera lenses could not begin to fit the endless and awesome scenery in their open apertures. The mountains were so massive that I felt like I was on another planet. In the far off distance, they looked like a painting on canvas. What I experienced there in God's artistic handiwork nearly caused me to be in utter silence at times. The peace that I felt there was intoxicating.
Scripture ran through my head each day as I looked at the mountains in the distance, the streams and waterfalls, and the different animals that we were able to see...
Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations.
Before the mountains were brought forth,
Or ever You had formed the earth and the world,
Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.
-Psalms 90:1-2
Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings.
They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house,
And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures.
For with You is the fountain of life;
In Your light we see light.
-Psalm 36:7-9
-Genesis 1:24
I highly recommend Alaska if it's ever been on your bucket list as it once was on mine. I loved it so much that I honestly felt that I could give up what I do and live there. I met a man there that said "You either love Alaska, or you hate it. You're hooked or you're not." Well I was definitely hooked. I hope and pray that we will be blessed to see it again some day. But one thing I am sure of is the amazing sights that we will see in Heaven, and the new earth when Jesus Christ comes back for all of us that believe on Him, and love Him!

Thank you as always for stopping by and staying a while. Don't forget to go outside and explore the things that the Lord has made, even if it's just in your own back yard!
In Christ,
Kevin-
