I've been thinking a lot here lately about being patient. Sounds easy doesn't it. For some, it seems easy. For others it's a task not so easily accomplished. Some people go fishing and have all the patience in the world when nothing is biting. Others can't stand it and move all over from one place to another becoming frustrated to the point of quitting and going home. It seems like people want everything right now, right now, right now. And they want it fast, fast, fast.
When I think about patience, I think about snails. No faster than they move, you know that they have to be as patient as any critter on the earth.
Psalm 37:7-9, Philippians 4:6-7, and Ecclesiastes 7:8-9, Romans 12:10-12 are just four to get a taste of what God has to say on the subject.
I believe that when we pray for patience in hard times, or when we feel rushed in life, that God will grant us that patience and peace we seek. Slow down, take your time, and don't be so rushed. Be patient in life, give what's rushing you to God, and ask for His will in every situation.
But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. -James 1:4
Don't forget to get outside and see the things our Creator has made!
God bless you all,
